Program
Arrival in Catania and self transfer to the hotel. In the evening dinner and overnight in hotel.
SATURDAY: CEFALÙ – PALERMO
After breakfast meeting with tour escort at Hotel for little briefing about general information on the itinerary and departure to Cefalù to visit the Norman Cathedral, rich of Byzantine mosaics. Free time for lunch. The tour continues reaching Palermo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
SATURDAY: ARRIVAL IN PALERMO
Clients arriving at Palermo will have self transfer to the hotel. Meeting with the tour escort in the evening for a welcome cocktail and briefing with general information about the itinerary. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
SUNDAY: PALERMO - MONREALE
Breakfast at the hotel; morning visit of the Capital of Sicily, one of the richest town in the island for history and art. We will visit the Cathedral, “Palazzo dei Normanni” with its “Palatina” Chapel, the “Quattro Canti”, the Opera House, the Pretoria Square. We will continue to Monreale to admire the Cathedral with its splendid 12th century mosaics, and the cloister of the Benedectine monastery with moorish architecture. In the afternoon walk and ice cream in Mondello, a nice village at the seaside. Full board at hotel.
MONDAY: ERICE - MARSALA – AGRIGENTO
Breakfast at the hotel; day dedicated to the visit of the beautiful area of Trapani, with its vineyards famous all around the world; visit of the fascinating Erice, a small medieval village with ancient Greek origin, situated on a little hill, where it will be possible to enjoy a fantastic view on the Egadi Islands. Lunch at typical restaurant. In the afternoon we will see Marsala, famous for production of the Marsala wine; stop by a cellar and wine tasting. In the late afternoon we will reach Agrigento; accommodation at hotel, dinner and overnight.
TUESDAY: AGRIGENTO – PIAZZA ARMERINA – RIVIERA DEI CICLOPI
Breakfast at the hotel; in the morning we will visit the wonderful “Valle dei Templi”. Concordia Temple, Ercules Temple, Giunone Temple and Castore and Polluce Temples represent the most beautiful example of Greek civilization in Sicily. We will continue to Piazza Armerina, in the heart of Sicily, where we will visit the “Villa Romana del Casale”, famous for its fantastic mosaics. Lunch at a typical restaurant. Continue to the east cost of Sicily to visit Acicastello, with its Norman Castle, built of black lava stone, and Acitrezza, the fishing village dominated by the the Rocks of the Cyclops, mass of black lava rising up from the crystal-clear waters. Accommodation at hotel, dinner and overnight.
WEDNESDAY: ETNA - TAORMINA
Breakfast at the hotel; morning dedicated to a fantastic excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Across fascinating landscape, we will reach a height of 2000 metres, where we will enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Ionic Sea. Visit of a cellar for wine tasting and typical Sicilian products. In the afternoon free time in Taormina, the small medieval village called “the pearl of the Ionic Sea”, famous for its typical small streets and his fascinating Greek theatre. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
THURSDAY: SIRACUSA - CATANIA
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning excursion to Siracusa, the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily. We will visit the famous “Fontana Aretusa”, and the archaeological area with its marvellous theatre and “Orecchio di Dionisio”. After lunch in Ortigia, the small baroque island, old city centre of Siracusa, the tour will go on with the visit of Catania, the town known for its original baroque style and for its streets built with black lava stone from mount Etna. Walking tour through Via Etnea, the Baroque street “Via Crociferi”, the Piazza Duomo with the Cathedral and the “Liotru” statue, symbol of the city, the roman Amphitheatre, the University building, and the noble Palace of Biscari. Taste of the typical local “tavola calda” and well-known “arancini” and return to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
FRIDAY: DEPARTURE FROM CATANIA
Breakfast at the hotel; end of services for clients arrived at Catania on Friday. Bye Bye Sicilia! See you next time!

For people arrived at Palermo on Saturday tour continues with the visit of Cefalù. Free time for lunch and departure to Palermo for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
SATURDAY: DEPARTURE FROM PALERMO
Breakfast at the hotel; end of services for clients arrived at Palermo on Saturday. Bye Bye Sicilia! See you next time!
